The French Barbarians, also known as the Barbarian Rugby Club, were founded in 1979 and are based in France. Originally an amateur invitational team inspired by the famous Barbarian F.C., they became the official second national team of the French Rugby Federation starting in the 2017-18 season. The team plays in shirts featuring rings in light blue, navy, and royal blue, with players retaining their club socks.
